the ups-and-downs and sides-to-sides of the little things that make up life
This whole year, all I’ve done is turn a corner only to be dragged down into the abyss again. When will the rip tide let go? When is it my turn for things to go as planned or wanted? I hope it’s soon, because there’s only so long someone can fight a rip tide.
I look at my “blogging” from the past few months and I have to wonder, Where Am I? I can always look back at my posts and frequency and see patterns – patterns when I was busy, unhappy, ecstatic, loving it all, reflecting, etc. To me, it’s a pretty cool representation of the “ups-and-downs and […]
This morning, I received the below email. How fun! And my goodness, I can’t believe I’ve been using Tumblr for a year. There must be many more quotes there than I imagined.

While end of the year Top Ten lists get obnoxious, it sure is fun to look back on last year’s 10 Cool Things of 2008. I can’t believe it’s been a full year since making that list. But, here it is, ten cool things of 2009 (in date order): I was a bridesmaid with my […]
The more things change, the more they stay the same… Before writing this, I went back and read Five Years. To be honest, my feelings haven’t changed much: Some days are hard. Really hard. Other days are a bit easier. The holidays and milestones are still rough The sound of an ambulance still derails me […]
Upon browsing the new W+K website, I ran across their Wiedenisms. This one was my favorite: Fail Harder My dad used to say this too, but it was Fall Harder for every time we went water skiing. It was some of the best (and favorite) advice I got as a little kid. What my dad […]
